Does This Sound Like You?

You are trapped in the same pentatonic boxes

You don't feel confident travelling around the neck

Your solos sound boring and repetitive

You’re improvising without a plan and just hoping for the best

You're not alone...

How to Solo Freely Without Being Trapped by Patterns and Theory

For years, I taught guitar the way I was taught—the way most teachers do.

I showed my private students the minor pentatonic scale, box patterns, and exercises designed to "unlock" the fretboard.

I watched as they memorized shapes and practiced scales up and down the neck, but something was missing.

They weren’t truly playing the guitar.

They weren’t flowing effortlessly across the fretboard like the legends they admired—Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, John Mayer, John Frusciante, Tom Misch.

Instead, they were thinking too much, stuck in their heads, afraid to break out of the boxes they had learned.

After thousands of lessons and years of trial and error, I started asking a different question: How did the greats actually move around the neck?

They didn’t think in rigid patterns—they played musically.

They connected the fretboard in a way that felt intuitive, not mechanical.

That’s when I realized—I was teaching it all wrong.

I began shifting my approach. Instead of drilling patterns, I started showing my students how to use the fretboard the way their heroes do.

We built the neck up step-by-step in small bit-sized stages.

Before too long they could see the entire fretboard as one big toolkit.

And something incredible happened...

My students stopped overthinking and just played.

At first, they didn’t even notice the transformation.

I'd watch them improvise, seamlessly flowing across the neck, locked into their playing, fully engaged.

And then I’d say: "Hey, you realize you’re playing all over the neck now? That sounds great!"

Their response as I brought them out of their soloing trance? "Oh yeah... I guess I am."

That’s when I knew this was the way forward.

This is a method that works and the great thing its really simple:

We start with the minor pentatonic box shape that everyone knows

I show how to then move across the neck adding colour and tension

The neck becomes your soloing toolkit where you can switch different flavours on and off when you need to

I’ve taken everything I’ve learned from teaching for over 10 years and put it into a structured, 60-minute workshop designed specifically for late beginner and intermediate players who feel stuck.

This is your chance to finally move around the neck like the greats—without second-guessing every note.

If you've been struggling to break free from the same old patterns, I promise—this changes everything.

For the cost of a cheap foot pedal, you can take the big leap towards being a highly skilled intermediate.

How the legends use the system (value $19)

The problem with most "learn the fretboard" courses is they aren't related to the music you love.

In the workshop I will give you examples of how the legends use the system I teach you. That way you will not be just learning theory, but how to use the tricks in the real world.

This is for

Late beginner and intermediates who know at least the basic chords (C A G E D) and some barre chords

Guitarists who want to add more color to their solos

Guitarists who want to take their playing seriously and level up their fretboard knowledge rapidly

This isn't for

Absolute beginners

Guitarists who only want free material on youtube

  • Do I Play Fast Enough to Join This Workshop?
Whilst the course will be too fast for absolute beginners, if you have played for a couple of years and can play a few songs comfortably, speed should not be a problem. I have found in my private teaching that guitarists tend to play far too many notes. So if anything this course will help you slow down and play the right notes, and not too many notes.
  • Is This The Same Info I Can Find For Free on Youtube?
There are thousands of free guitar lessons on YouTube. But here's the key difference: While those videos often jump between random techniques, this course is built on 10 years of working specifically with busy adults who can't practice countless hours each day. Instead of the usual 'here's a cool lick' approach, I've organized the workshop to build on what limited practice time you have. The course connects techniques in a way that fits your actual schedule. I've seen exactly where most busy adults get stuck and built specific solutions for those roadblocks. So while you can certainly find individual techniques on YouTube, this gives you a proven, structured path that's specifically designed for someone balancing guitar with real life.
  • What if I Am Too Busy To Practice What I Learn?
The workshop is broken up into digestible steps. You will also get a proven 15 minute practice plan to put what you learn into practice. Obviously you will need to put effort and practice in to get the best results..
  • Will This Focus on Soloing on Over Minor Backing Tracks Only?
The focus on this course will be soloing over minor backing tracks. The majority of backing tracks on youtube are minor, so you will have hundreds of great tracks that you can play along to. I will however show you how to you the "relative minor trick" so you can solo over major key backing tracks as well.
